Byrdir
House is superbly situated to enjoy the National park and surrounding
countryside providing comfortable and friendly accommodation for a base
to explore all that north Wales has to offer. Byrdir House is situated
in the historic town of Harlech, on the edge of the Snowdonia national
park with all of the beautiful countryside, historic monuments and
breathtaking views associated with this part of North Wales.

House was originally built in the nineteenth century, we believe around
1890 by a sea captain for his private residence. The house is within a
few minutes walking distance, through the main part of the old town, to
Harlech castle and the house is also situated close to the the Royal St
David championship Golf Course
Byrdir House is within easy travelling distance of Portmeiron, used as
the set for the prisoner TV series. Other Places of interest include
Porthmadog, the coastal resorts of Llandudno and Colwyn bay,
Betws-y-Coed, Bala and Dolgellau.
We have 9 comfortable rooms to meet most requirements, both on-suite and
standard accommodation are available, together with a bar and off road
car parking for 10 cars.
Our aim is to provide the highest standards to make your stay as
pleasant as possible
We have over 30 single malts to choose from together with fine cognac
and a selection of award winning bottled ales
The Bar & Lounge, together with all the ground floor rooms, has been refurbished over the new year 2003 - 2004. Relax in the evening with a drink or in the daytime a comfortable place to pass an hour with the papers. The bar is open most evenings.
