Dinas Caravan Park

Quiet holiday park in the Rhinog foothills — caravans, camping and glamping

Caravan Park & Glamping

Dinas Caravan Park is located three miles inland from Harlech in the foothills of the Rhinog mountains. A small, quiet Wales Tourist Board 3-star graded Holiday Park with 8 static caravans in three categories: Economy, Gold and Gold Extra. Short breaks and a 25% couple discount are available during low and mid seasons (excluding school holidays).

The park also offers glamping with hot tub in a private 5-metre bell tent, with a proper double bed, warm Welsh tapestry blanket, wood-burning stove and outdoor fire pit — perfect for toasting marshmallows or cooking on an open fire. Indoor cooking and dining area also available.

An ideal base for walking in the Rhinog mountains and Snowdonia National Park, with Harlech Beach, the castle, Portmeirion, Barmouth and the Ffestiniog Railway all within easy reach.

About Dinas Caravan Park

Dinas Caravan Park occupies a quiet, sheltered position in the Rhinog foothills near Llanbedr — a village about four miles south of Harlech on the A496 Cardigan Bay coast road. The Rhinog mountains rise steeply to the east, offering some of the wildest and most rewarding hill walking in Wales, while Shell Island (Mochras) — one of the most unusual natural sites in Wales, with over 200 varieties of shells — is barely two miles away across the dunes.

The park offers a range of accommodation to suit different budgets and group sizes: eight static caravans across Economy, Gold, and Gold Extra grades, plus a glamping bell tent with hot tub, wood-burning stove, and fire pit for those who want something more distinctive. The bell tent option is particularly popular for couples and small groups looking for a memorable night or two in a spectacular landscape without the commitment of a full self-catering let.

Harlech itself — with its castle, Royal St David's Golf Course, and beach — is four miles north. Barmouth, a larger resort town with a long sandy beach, Victorian pier, and the famous railway bridge across the Mawddach Estuary, is seven miles south. The area is well-served by the Cambrian Coast railway, with Llanbedr station just down the road providing connections north and south without needing a car.
